Terms and Conditions

of Booking

a) It is your responsibility to check your tickets; mistakes or errors cannot always be rectified.

b) Every member of the audience must be in possession of a valid ticket.

c) Please be advised to check and make allowances for any events likely to delay your arrival at the theatre in time for the start of the show (e.g. traffic during Illuminations). Every effort will be made to admit latecomers at a suitable point in the show, but admission cannot always be guaranteed prior to the first interval.

d) All major credit and debit cards accepted by telephone or in person. Cheques should be made payable to ‘Blackpool Grand Theatre’. We accept all major credit and debit cards. Blackpool Grand Theatre ticket transactions in person, by phone or post incur a charge of £1.50 per transaction as a booking fee (from 1st January 2010). Tickets booked online incur a charge of £1 per ticket. The Theatre is a charitable trust. Although the Grand has been able to attract large musical productions over the years for the community, the theatre retains a very small proportion of the income generated by box office sales. The theatre relies upon income generated through the booking fee, ancillary sales and sponsorship. Remember to add 60p to your total if you wish the tickets posted to you.

e) Concession priced tickets, where available, apply to:- Seniors aged 60 and above, people with a Registered Disability, Unwaged, Equity, BECTO & MU Members, Students, Under 18s. Relevant ID may be required when requesting concessions. Only one concession is available per ticket, and may not be used in conjunction with other offers, discounts or promotions. No retrospective concessions are available.

f) Under 16s – persons under 16 must be accompanied by at least one adult to any performance.

g) Under 2s – accompanied babes in arms will be admitted free of charge to children’s shows and pantomime only. NB Each babe in arms must be issued with a complimentary admission ticket from the Box Office. 'Babes in Arms' tickets are limited to the back rows of the Stalls, Dress Circle and Upper Circle.

h) Any patron who has a special needs request (extra wide or long wheelchair space, headset, stair lift), must make this at the time of booking as such requests may not be able to be implemented retrospectively. As there are a finite number of wheelchair spaces in both the main auditorium and the Studio, users must advise of their requirements at the time of booking; it is part of our H & S policy that this number may not be exceeded.

i) Boxes in the Dress Circle are licensed to accommodate 4.

j) Certain seating areas may give a restricted view, please enquire at the time of booking.

k) The management reserves the right to refuse admission.

l) Please be aware that this grade II listed Victorian building does not have a lift between floors, it is approx 20 stairs to the Dress Circle, 40 to the Upper Circle, and 55 to the Gallery, from the ground level.

m) No responsibility may be accepted for personal property. Please keep your belongings with you at all times. Please be aware that extra security measures (e.g. searches) may be implemented.

n) Photography or recording inside the auditorium by members of the audience is not permitted. The Theatre reserves the right for themselves oR third parties to carry out general filming and recording in and around the Theatre.

o) From time to time, official show merchandise may be available. The Theatre cannot accept any responsibility for the sale of such merchandise.

p) It is general practice that tickets are not exchanged for other events or money refunded; however tickets may be exchanged for another performance of the same production. No action can be taken unless the tickets are returned to the Box Office at least 3 days prior to the performance. An exchange fee of £1.50 per ticket is levied. If patrons find that they are unable to use their tickets, the Box Office will try and resell them at a charge of 50p per ticket (at the patron’s risk) on the understanding that the sale of the theatre’s own available seats takes priority. Please check your tickets at the point of sale as they can only be changed at a later date with an administration fee.

q) Special Effects – If you are concerned about inclusion of any special effects during a performance, please ask at the time of booking, although the inclusion of these may not be notified to the theatre until the actual performance dates. Please check the foyer notice for more information when you visit the theatre.

r) Tickets are sold subject to the Theatre AND/OR Producer's right to alter the performance schedule or cast should circumstances beyond our control make this unavoidable, without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.

s) In the event of a change or cancellation to the performance schedule, ticket holders will be notified via the contact details left by the purchaser with the Theatre. The Theatre is not liable for any changes or inaccuracies in these details which may prevent the ticket holder being contacted. In the case of a group booking, the organiser who purchased the tickets is deemed responsible for communicating any changes to the group.

t) The ticket holder is entitled to a seat of the value corresponding to that shown on the ticket and the Theatre reserves the right to provide alternative seating to those specified on the ticket. Where seating of a lesser value only is available, the ticket holder will be compensated to a maximum of the difference in value between the cost of the seats. The ticket holder may be re-seated in higher priced seating at no additional cost at the discretion of the Theatre Management.

u) In the interests of H & S the Theatre reserves the right to restrict public access to parts of the theatre.

v) In the event of a cancellation of a performance or event, the Theatre shall have no further liability other than the face value of the ticket.

w) Every effort is made to ensure that the information on the website, in the brochure, and all other publicity materials and adverts is correct, however we advise prospective patrons to contact the Box Office to confirm show information and availability prior to making a special trip to the Theatre.

x) Park & Show Tickets – Discounted tickets for West Street Car Park may only be purchased in advance from the Theatre Box Office. We recommend purchase of these tickets at the time of booking theatre tickets as the availability is limited. These discounted tickets are not available for the Car Park ticket machines. Blackpool Council terms and conditions as regards West Street Car Park apply to all users.

y) Competitions: Prizes offered by the Grand Theatre or any of its supporters and suppliers for competitions run on its website or via the media have no cash value. If prizes offered are tickets for a particular performance or production we are unable to exchange these for a different performance or production. We are sorry, but if you have purchased tickets for a performance or production and you enter a competition for tickets for the same performance or production, we are unable to give a refund.

z) Offers and discounts: Occasionally the producer of a show with the theatre will offer discounts and special offers through theatre mailings, e-flyers, e-newsletters and texting services. These offers and discounts can not be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount and have no cash value. If you have purchased tickets at full price and receive an offer via mailings, e-flyers etc, we are sorry, but we are unable to give refunds retrospectively.

Terms and Conditions for these tickets are different to our standard Terms and Conditions of Booking:

- Showseat.co.uk £10 tickets are only available via www.showseats.co.uk.
- Tickets are only available from 10am on the 10th of the month for 10 minutes.
- There will only be 10 seats on offer to the first 10 completed orders in the timeframe stipulated.
- Payment of tickets is via the Grand Theatre's ticketing system. Credit/debit cards are accepted.
- On this offer customers are not able to select specific seats, However they will be top priced seats every time.
- Tickets will not be posted out, this is a purely online offer and customers who win seats on the £10 offer should bring their email conformation to the box office on the day of the performance to exchange for their tickets.
- Tickets offered will be for a specific date and performance as listed and this will not be changed under any circumstances.
- Concessions or other offers cannot be used in conjunction with these tickets.
- Refunds, requests for change of performance or credits will not be offered on these tickets.
- Points; a, b, c, f, k, i, m, n, o , q, r, s, t, u, v, w, will still apply from the theatres main Terms and Conditions of Booking.
