Hi, my name’s Frankie and I’m the official keeper of the Grand Theatre’s new Children’s Show Ambassador Matcham Monkey! I have to tell you he’s the funnniest, craziest and most helpful character you will ever meet. When Matcham Monkey visited Blackpool from his home jungle in Uganda, he called into the Grand Theatre to see one of the children’s shows they had on. He could be heard everywhere screaming with laughter at the capers on stage and enjoyed it so much he decided to stay under my expert care and promote all the great children’s shows the Grand Theatre has on offer. He now goes out and about telling children and parents across the Fylde coast about the educational work the Grand does and how hugely interactive and packed with fun and excitement the shows are. To thank Matcham Monkey for helping us the Grand has set up his own Fan Club with lots of benifits for the children that support him!

Matcham Monkey is an entertaining character who leads the Grand Theatre children’s club for two to twelve year olds - although Matcham Monkey’s pleased to meet anyone of any age. So don’t be shy mums, dads and grandparents, he’ll be looking out for you too! Matcham Monkey and the Club is also about being Green! To join we’d prefer you to get your Mum, Dad or Guardian to download and complete the online membership form for you, save it, then email to matchammonkey@blackpoolgrand.co.uk or bring it in to us at the Grand Theatre box office. You can also email your membership form to the box office box@blackpoolgrand.co.uk.

Communication with our members is via electronic methods where possible. Parents or Guardians should supply a mobile number for SMS text alerts (at no cost to you!) and/or an email address to aid us with contacting you and keeping membership FREE.
