The Perfect Gift

Blackpool’s beautiful Grand Theatre has an exciting and eclectic mix of spectacular shows for 2010 that will make the perfect gift to slip in a Christmas stocking this festive season.

Show tickets are available now for ballet, plays, comedies, musicals, fun children’s shows and of course pantomime! There’s something for everyone…

Coming up at the Grand in 2010 are the murderously funny Oscar Wilde comedy Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime with a star-studded cast including BBC1’s Any Dream Will Do winner and Joseph star Lee Mead; Gary Wilmot (Chicago, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) and Kate O’Mara (Dynasty, Bad Girls).

Add to that a spectacular season of one night stands with everyone from Julian Clary; Sean Hughes and Stephen K Amos, to Charley Boorman; Postman Pat and the return of fabulous football comedy Beating Berlusconi – this time transferring to the main stage due to popular demand.

Blackpool’s Grand also welcomes back The Russian Ice Stars with the spectacular Snow White on Ice featuring ballet, gymnastics and amazing aerobatics on a stage of real ice; The Russian State Ballet and Orchestra of Siberia with the much-loved masterpieces Swan Lake, The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty; Opera della Luna with Gilbert & Sullivan’s comic operetta The Sorcerer and Showzam! - Blackpool’s Festival of Circus, Magic and New Variety with four fantastic shows Variety Notes, Ockham’s Razor, Spymonkey’s Moby Dick and The Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain.

Book your tickets now for the gripping thriller Inside Job starring Emmerdale heart-throb Stephen McGann; Spike Milligan’s delightfully barmy Adolf Hitler: My Part in His Downfall; the seriously squishy world premiere of family show Horrible Science and Agatha Christie’s crime masterpiece Witness For The Prosecution with an all-star cast to be announced.

And you can’t forget the Grand Theatre’s fantastic family pantomime this festive season. On no you can’t! Peter Pan stars CBBC’s Barney Harwood (Smile, Prank Patrol, Basil’s Swap Shop), the hilarious Steve Royle (BBC Radio Lancashire), Gary Turner (Emmerdale’s hot-blooded Latin chef Carlos Diaz) CBBC’s Gemma Hunt and madcap acrobats The Nitwits from Friday 4th December to Sunday 3rd January.
