HORRIBLE HISTORIES RETURNS TO BLACKPOOL’S GRAND

27-03-2008 | Author: Press Office

Don’t miss this horribly good chance to travel back in time with two fabulous family shows at Blackpool’s Grand Theatre this April

Kids come face to face with history at its most hideous with Horrible Histories. Using actors and ground-breaking 3D special effects, historical figures and events from the Tudor and Victorian periods come alive on stage and hover at your fingertips!

We all want to meet people from history. The trouble is everyone is dead!
Prepare yourselves for the gruesome return of Horrible Histories with The Terrible Tudors & The Vile Victorians live on stage at the Grand Theatre, Blackpool from Tuesday 29th April to Saturday 3rd May.

Kids come face to face with history at its most hideous with Horrible Histories. Using actors and ground-breaking 3D special effects, this thrilling adaptation of Terry Deary’s famous books make historical figures and events from the Tudor and Victorian periods come alive on stage and hover at your fingertips!

See the legends (and the lies!) of the torturing Terrible Tudors. From the horrible Henries to the end of evil Elizabeth, find out the fate of Henry Vlll’s headless wives and his punch up with the Pope. Dodge the Spanish Armada’s cannon balls which seem to shoot straight out over your head! What sort of bed-time stories would YOU have heard if you'd lived in that awful age?

Discover how the Vile Victorians survived the filth of the 19th century factories and the misery of the mines. Take part in the charge of the Light Brigade too! What exactly did a baby farmer do? Ride on the rotten railway and watch out for the wicked workhouse. Just what is the story behind the song 'The Hole in the Elephant's Bottom?" And dare you join in?!

These are the bits of history your teacher never tells you…
