12% Evil - 100% Funny
Hard-hitting comedian Laurence Clark brings his hilarious new show to Blackpool's Grand Theatre on Friday 6th June

Ever woken up in the morning, looked in the mirror and decided to devote your life to wreaking vengeance on the world because you’re disabled?

Brilliant observational comic Laurence Clark brings his wickedly witty new show 12% Evil to Blackpool’s Grand Theatre on Friday 6th June at 8pm.

Ever woken up in the morning, looked in the mirror and decided to devote your life to wreaking vengeance on the world because you’re disabled?

According to the movies this is how many super- villains break into their profession. In his hilarious new show, 12% Evil, wheelchair-using comic Laurence Clark takes a look at the many villains who’ve sought payback for being disabled eg Dr Strangelove, Blofeld, Darth Vader and Freddie Krueger and of course… Heather Mills-McCartney!

Born with cerebral palsy, Laurence Clark's outlook on life as a disabled person shapes his fantastic outlook on comedy. His first one-man show, The All-Star Charity Show, won critical acclaim at Edinburgh Fringe in 2003. The show was named Critics' Choice in The Times and he was described as a 'powerful comedy voice' and 'stunningly hard-hitting' by critic Kate Copstick in The Scotman's round-up of the best shows that year.

Clark has also acted with Graeae Theatre Company and written for the BBC website Ouch. In 2005 he was named Pick of the Fest by Radio Merseyside and won the Dada Award for Best Performer. He has also worked with BBC Radio 4 as script advisor and contributor for a two-part documentary on comedy and disability called Should We Be Laughing?

Laurence Clark: 12% Evil is at the Lawrence House Studio at the Grand Theatre, Blackpool on Friday 6th June at 8pm. Tickets are priced £8 (concessions £6) and are on sale now from the Grand Theatre Box Office. Great group and Friends of the Grand discounts available.
