We all know children aren’t easy to keep busy at the best of times, but we think we can point you in the right direction of some of our incredible shows that will keep them talking and smiling for weeks afterwards…

Including a first, Beauty and The Beast Pantomime which will be a sure fire hit for all the family (including adult-sized kids)!

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
We start with the most fantasmagorical musical in the history of everything, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, celebrates 50 Years!
To celebrate 50 years one of the world’s favourite films, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang the musical of the same name will be coming to Blackpool and will have audiences of all ages flying high with its mixture of madness, intrigue and exuberance.
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is one family-friendly blockbuster that audiences will find “Truly Scrumptious.”
Can the loveable but whacky inventor, Potts, along with his two children and the gorgeous Truly Scrumptious outwit the bombastic Baron Bomburst who has decreed that all children be banished from his kingdom? What happens when the children are caught and imprisoned with the other youngsters by the evil Child Catcher? Will it all end happily-ever-after? Well, of course it will!
Filled with amazing stage spectacle and unforgettable songs, including the Academy Award-nominated title song, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang this is a high-flying, fun-filled adventure for the entire family.
The Teletubbies first ever theatre show has to be on Blackpool Family Shows list as it’s been created especially for your little ones!
Look out for the Tubby Phone, Noo-noo and the Sun Baby in a fun, bright and safe world which captures young children’s imaginations and encourages them to explore the world around them.
Stick Man is coming to Blackpool!
This award-winning production, from the team behind The Scarecrows’ Wedding, features a trio of top actors and is packed full of puppetry, songs, live music and funky moves.

Beauty and The Beast – Pantomime
The Blackpool Family Shows list wouldn’t be complete without Pantomime. and this year it’s a blockbuster with Beauty and The Beast.
This Christmas The Grand is delighted to announce Beauty and The Beast staring Danny Walters (EastEnders, Benidorm) who will star as ‘The Prince (Beast)’, Hayley Kay as the beautiful ‘Fairy Bon Bon’ and Nick Wilton as ‘Polly La Plonk’ all starring alongside panto favourite the incredible Steve Royle (BBC Radio Lancashire) as ‘Louis La Plonk’.
In 2019 the magic doesn’t stop as the Blackpool Family Shows just get better and better with the Grand Theatre presenting some of the best touring shows around.
Full of fun, laughter and music, Bing Live! (2 and 3 Feb) is the perfect first theatre trip for pre-schoolers and families.
Join Bing, Sula, Coco and Pando as they learn how to tell stories by pretending, dressing-up and singing songs. Flop and Amma are there to help, but in this magical world of make-believe things don’t always go according to plan…
