Church Street Access and Drop-off

Camera Enforcement Order – Blackpool town centre will see new enforcement cameras being installed as a way of improving public transport journey times in the town centre and improving safety for passengers.

Important Update – 1 May 2022

The cameras, which will be installed on Market Street, Church Street and Corporation Street, are aimed at deterring drivers who flout the law by driving in designated areas for buses, taxis and authorised vehicles.

From 1 May 2022 Market Street and Church Street will be subject to a Bus Hub and Camera Enforcement Order, meaning that any unauthorised vehicles will be prohibited from gaining access to the Theatre, via Church Street, between 10:30am and 6pm; vehicles will also be prohibited from turning onto Church Street from the Promenade.

We have worked with Blackpool Council to minimise the disruption to our business with provisions for deliveries (e.g. show unloading, print, couriers, etc. only) please contact theatre reception to make arrangements and register your vehicle.

Council Information can be found here. If you have any queries or questions regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact us on the following 01235 290 111.

West Street Car Park is the closest Car Park to the theatre (177 spaces – 9 Blue Badge Spaces) – please note this car park can get very busy during peak times (Bank holidays, illuminations (Lightpool), special events etc.).

Dropping-off/alighting will no longer be possible outside the theatre (unless in a permitted registered Taxi).

For Accessibility

The Blue Badge scheme provides parking benefits for disabled people throughout the UK who travel either as drivers or as passengers. A Blue Badge entitles the holder to concessions for ‘On-street’ parking, including free use of parking meters and pay and display bays, and exemption from limits on parking times (restrictions apply).
