GRAND YOUNG AMBASSADORS

The Grand has been busy recruiting young people aged 18-26 years, who love theatre! Oh and love meeting new people, to become our new Grand Young Ambassadors.

The Grand aims to work closely with its Ambassadors on opportunities like meeting and interviewing UK and international creative teams and performers, planning and organizing events and activities, gaining marketing skills e.g. social media/blog writing, travel around the country with The Grand’s marketing team to ‘go see’ shows and meet companies ahead of them visiting The Grand.

 

We currently have ambassadors working with some great companies including The Royal Shakespeare Company, Touring Consortium Theatre Company, Breakin’ Convention and ZooNation.

GRAND YOUNG COMPANY

Blackpool Grand Theatre presents a company for young people aged 14-19 years, the GRAND Young Company.

 

Not just any young company, GRAND Young Company is part of the National Theatre’s prestigious Connections programme.

 

Connections is the National Theatre’s nationwide youth theatre. Each year they provide support to a network of youth theatres all over the country to stage new plays written especially for young people by some of theatre’s most exciting playwrights.

 

GRAND Young Company is a great opportunity for anyone interested in any aspect of theatre, including, performance, theatre design (including lighting and sound), stage management, marketing and all aspects of theatre-making.

 

If you are interested in joining this years GRAND Young Company we are offering ‘Taster Sessions’ on the 10 & 17 October (6:30pm-8:30pm theSTUDIO) so you can hear about the company and discover a taste of what will be involved.

GRAND Young Company ‘Member Sessions’ will take place on Monday evenings 6 to 9pm, all dates will be confirmed in the Taster Sessions.
