We’ve put together the greatest Halloween Party Songs ever recorded, including king of ghoul Michael Jackson and, of course, “Killer Queen” and “The Monster Mash.”

Some songs may contain strong language or adult themes.

Epic Halloween Party Songs

“Thriller” by Michael Jackson

The music video alone passed for one of the greatest short horror movies of all time – it’s a Halloween Party Song classic.

“I Put a Spell on You” by Nina Simone

Simone’s cover of Jay Hawkins’ 1956 original, her unforgettable voice makes it all the more daunting.

“Time Warp” from The Rocky Horror Picture Show

You can’t do Halloween without Rocky Horror, especially with its own iconic dance.

“Psycho Killer” by Talking Heads

A perfectly-eerie ’70s rock classic.

According to the preliminary lyric sheets copied onto the 2006 remaster of Talking Heads: 77, the song started off as a semi-narrative of the killer actually committing murders. In the liner notes of Once in a Lifetime: The Best of Talking Heads, Byrne says: When I started writing this (I got help later), I imagined Alice Cooper doing a Randy Newman-type ballad. Both the Joker and Hannibal Lecter were much more fascinating than the good guys. Everybody sort of roots for the bad guys in movies.

“Haunted” by Beyoncé

Only Queen Bey can scare us and slay so much sass in a video for Halloween – Critics compared the video of “Haunted” and the singer’s look with works by Madonna, most notably with her song “Justify My Love” (1990).

“Killer Queen” by Queen

Freddie Mercury what’s more to say!

“The Addams Family” by Vic Mizzy

Go on try and hold yourself back – You can’t help snapping along. Snap snap snap!

“Ghostbusters” by Ray Parker Jr.

Who “ain’t afraid of no ghosts” – A classic that had us all laughing at the cinema with this iconic film.

“Monster Mash” by Bobby Pickett

Who hasn’t danced to this at all the most memorable parties?

“Superstition” by Stevie Wonder

Once that rhythmic riff comes in, you’ll find it impossible not to dance! Whatever the costume youre in !

“This Is Halloween” from The Nightmare Before Christmas

Tim Burton fans – This one’s for you! In the film it is performed by the residents of the fictional “Halloween Town”, which is the film’s main setting, and introduces the town’s Halloween-centered lifestyle.

“Disturbia” by Rihanna

A macabre opening with incredible characters – Vampires, Zombies and escapee prisioners – It’s Slay (literally). Defiantly a Good Girl Gone Bad!

“Monster’ by Lady Gaga

That boy is a monster! Best costume?

Look at him, look at me

That boy is bad, and honestly

He’s a wolf in disguise

But I can’t stop staring in those evil eyes

Whatever you do just don’t call them ga-ga for their costume choice!
