The Panto Dame – the most recognisable character in a Pantomime and certainly the most fabulous. A Dame has her own characteristics that make her so unique, but do you know exactly what is a Panto Dame, and what in particular makes a Dame? We investigated the meaning and history of this character and their evolution in the UK, looking at some of our most famous Dames.
Loud and colourful, the Dames are still standing strong to this day and they show now signs of stopping.
