Take a load off, turn your phone and sit back and prepare to laugh. Laughter is the best medicine for all life’s tedium. Enjoy the comedic likes of the North’s finest, and more, at the Blackpool Grand Theatre.

Laughter being the best medicine is about the only thing people can agree on these days and there couldn’t be a better time for a good comedic distraction. We all need a laugh and no one knows how to conjure a real belly laugh like those from Blackpool.

Living in a town that is essentially one big playground, is bound to bring out the silly in everyone. On any given evening in Blackpool, if laughter is the medicine you’re looking for, you won’t have a shortage of places to choose from. There’s no greater way to embrace your inner comedian however, then with a night splitting sides at the Blackpool Grand Theatre.

Blackpool has seen many comedic geniuses who subscribe to the theory that laughter is in fact the best medicine. From local legend Lennie Bennet to honorary northerner Colin Cole and Zoe Ball, who, although is not a comedian, has made us laugh many times as a presenter.

Most recently at the Blackpool Grand Theatre, comedic legend Dave Spikey, celebrated 30 years of his career. ‘Juggling on a Motorbike’, tells Spikey’s life story and how he went from a biomedical scientist, to a comedian. Spikey has featured on ‘8 Out of 10 Cats’, ‘The Royal Variety Show’ and more.

Here are some upcoming shows from the Blackpool Grand Theatre that will have you gasping for breath. No matter your style of comedy, there is something for everything.
