Dreamboats & Petticoats – Bringing On Back the Good Times features all your favourite Dreamboats characters from the much-loved musical, with some of the greatest hit songs ever written from Roy Orbison, The Shadows, Eddie Cochran, Billy Fury, Chuck Berry, The Supremes and many, many more. It’s guaranteed to have you rocking and rolling back the years and jiving in the aisles!
Renowned recording artist and teen idol Mark Wynter (Venus in Blue Jeans, Go Away Little Girl, It’s Almost Tomorrow) joins Dreamboats favourite Elizabeth Carter as Laura, along with new cast members Jacob Fowler (Heathers the Musical) as Bobby and Joseph Lukehurst (A Midsummer Night’s Dream) as Norman, in the thrilling third installment of the musical inspired by the latest release in the series of multimillion-selling Dreamboats & Petticoats albums.
Catch up with Bobby & Laura, Norman, Sue & all the Dreamboats gang as they dance back together in this fabulous feel-good show for all the family, packed with all the wonderful wit, charm, and unforgettable songs from the golden era of Rock ’n’ Roll.
Bringing on Back the Good Times finds Laura with a successful solo career, but Bobby – her partner on their number one hit record Dreamboats and Petticoats, has left the spotlight and decided to re-join his former group, Norman and The Conquests, at St Mungo’s Youth Club.
Their new adventures include a season at Butlins and an appearance at The Eurovision Song Contest – but most of all, they lead them straight back into the arms of each other: bringing on back the good times indeed!
Dreamboats and Petticoats Cast Announced!
Mark Wynter’s debut single on the Decca label was a cover of The Safaris’ US hit Image Of A Girl in 1960 when Mark was just 17 years old with subsequent hit releases including Kicking Up The Leaves, Dream Girl, Exclusively Yours and Heaven’s Plan. In 1961, 18-year-old Mark appeared on UK package tours alongside visiting US hit recording artists, Jimmy Jones and Gene Vincent. Mark was voted ‘Most Promising Newcomer’ in the New Musical Express.
He also toured Australia, twice, where he made a simply enormous impact that included his own hour-long TV spectacular, Exclusively Yours. He returned to the UK for Summer Seasons at Bournemouth and Southsea plus prestige Sunday Summer concerts at Blackpool with Shirley Bassey.
He won rave reviews for his appearances both as singer and compere on a Spring package tour alongside American singing stars Johnny Burnette, Gene McDaniels and Gary US Bonds. He also topped the bill at another highly successful Summer Season in Bournemouth juxtaposed alongside Sunday night concerts at the Opera House in Blackpool and landed the leading role in the film Just For Fun, that is now considered to be a cult film of its time
Mark signed to Pye records, recorded Venus In Blue Jeans and by October 1962 it was in the Top 10, peaking at No 4, giving him his biggest hit and winning his first Silver Disc. His second silver disc Go Away Little Girl reached number 6 in the UK national charts. This was followed by Shy Girl, another disc success.
1964 saw Mark celebrate his twenty-first birthday and another big hit with It’s Almost Tomorrow. Amongst other highlights that year, his own UK TV series Call In On Wynter and on July 23rd an appearance in A Night Of 100 Stars at the London Palladium with The Beatles, Judy Garland, Shirley Bassey and a whole host of other stars. Later that same year an extraordinary tour which included performances in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, France, and Belgium, finishing in London at the Royal Albert Hall.
In 1965 Mark joined Morecambe and Wise for a sell-out summer season at Blackpool’s ABC Theatre.
Mark has starred many musicals, plays and pantomimes over the years, including playing the lead role of Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom Of The Opera in London’s West End. To date he has starred in 23 musicals, 38 plays from comedy/farce/drama to classic Shakespeare.
In 2018/2019 Mark starred in The Mousetrap in South Africa then New Zealand and a comprehensive 3 CD set was recently issued which features all of his hits and much more, 95 tracks including some very rare previously unissued recordings with an accompanying booklet.

Jacob Fowler’s stage credits include Heathers the Musical (The Other Palace); Vanara (Hackney Empire); Kings Of Broadway (Palace Theatre, London); In Pieces (Turbine Theatre) and Mercury Musical Developments, Stiles and Drewe – Best New Song competition 2021 where he performed one of the finalists compositions.
In 2020 with his band Since September, Jacob won the BBC ONE, prime time show, ‘Little Mix: The Search’. Following their win, the BBC went on to produce a mini-series documenting the bands’ first official UK tour – “The Empty Seats Tour” Jacob recently supported Little Mix on their sold-out CONFETTI, UK arena tour
Joseph Lukehurst’s stage credits include A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Changeling Theatre Company); Cinderella (Fairfield Halls); Jack And The Blingstalk (Harold Pinter Theatre); Voices From Across The World (The Cockpit Theatre) and Up The Bunty! (Lion and Unicorn).
