SLEEPING BEAUTY PANTO BREAKS BOX OFFICE RECORD!
The Grand Theatre’s sensational pantomime Sleeping Beauty has experienced an amazing 23% increase in audience numbers, in comparison to the last time Sleeping Beauty played at The Grand in December 07 to January 08.
- Sleeping Beauty 14-15 saw a 23% increase in audience numbers from the last time Sleeping Beauty played at The Grand, which was in Dec 2007-Jan 2008.
- Sleeping Beauty 14-15 audience numbers were 31,317 compared to 25,419 for Sleeping Beauty 07-08
- An increase of around 6000 people – which we think backs up the notion that panto must be Blackpool’s favourite Christmas experience.
- Sleeping Beauty 14-15 has seen a 46% increase in revenue in comparison to Sleeping Beauty 07-08.
- The Grand Theatre panto has broken its own record for ticket sales year on year.
- This year’s Sleeping Beauty has been the best-selling pantomime EVER for the Grand Theatre in terms of audience numbers.
The Grand is recognised locally and regionally for its high quality pantomime productions in association with Martin Dodd for UK Productions.
Commenting on the record-breaking figures, Martin Dodd for UK Productions said,
‘I’m absolutely delighted with another record year at the Grand Theatre. The cast, crew, and Production team have all worked hard to produce another great show for Blackpool and audiences are obviously showing their appreciation by attending in their thousands once again. Watch out for Snow White next year, and book early to be certain of a seat!’
Grand Theatre CEO, Ruth Eastwood, said:
‘We are delighted to have played a part in making so many people’s Christmas such a fun and festive family time. Panto is a great British tradition and we are proud to offer Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs for everyone’s enjoyment in 2015!’
