Here you will find regular questions we get asked about our recruitment.
Do you accept CVs?

We only accept applications on our standard application form. Vacancies are listed on our website, together with job descriptions and application forms. We do not place people on waiting lists for positions becoming available.

I can’t now attend my interview what should I do?

Contact us as soon as possible so we can arrange a new date/time. In addition, if you are running late contact our Administration on 01253 290 111 so they may inform the interview panel and they can get back to you. We may need to re-schedule the interview for another time/date if you arrive late.

 

If you have been offered another position or have changed your mind about an interview, please do contact our Administration or 01253 290 111, alternatively email info@blackpoolgrand.co.uk, so they can advise the interview panel.

I have a disability; can I request interview adjustments?

Applicants with disabilities may request an application pack in different formats, and we will always endeavour to make reasonable adjustments to allow you to have an interview that accommodates your needs: please do contact our Administration or 01253 290 111, alternatively email info@blackpoolgrand.co.uk.

Do you offer Work Placements?

Yes, however, due to our managers schedules Work Placements can only be offered at selected periods of the year. This will follow an application process, and interview. Placements are aimed at people based in the UK and aged 18 and over, priority will be given to people living in the FY postal code area.

 

Work Placements take place across many areas of Blackpool’s Grand; however, some positions may not be available due to specific training requirements. The Theatre does not offer placements in Acting, Directing, Costume, or Set Design. Please note these are unpaid Placements.

Do have Volunteer options?

Yes, if you are interested in joining our volunteer workforce, for a first discussion and application form. Alternately, go to Join and Support us in the footer of the website. Email geninfo@blackpoolgrand.co.uk.

Do you offer Work Experience to under-18s (pre-school levers)?

Blackpool’s Grand offers only a limited availability of Work Experience to under-18s (pre-school levers). This will follow an application process, and interview. Work Experience is aimed at people based in the UK, priority will be given to pre-school levers living in the FY postal code area. Please note these are unpaid Experiences.

Do you offer Apprenticeships?

Unfortunately, these are always limited and only offered linked to funding the Theatre receives. Apprenticeships are always advertised on our website and social media. Please feel free to check back regularly.
