Mark your calendars for the most swanky event of the year! We’re bringing the roaring 20s back with a bang, as the jazzy, toe-tapping, musical extravaganza Bugsy Malone takes centre stage at the launch our brand-new Musical Theatre Summer School.

• For young people aged 8 to 17 years
• Learn and perform a full musical in only 2 weeks
• Create an immersive performance that will take over the entire theatre
• A chance to work with top industry professionals and perform with a live band
• Perform on the main stage at Blackpool Grand Theatre
• Have fun and make new friends and amazing memories
• Project runs from Saturday 3 August to Saturday 17 August 2024

Blackpool Grand Theatre will open its doors to be taken over by young people aged 8 to 17 years who will work with professional theatre-makers to produce and perform a full-scale musical production in only 2 weeks.

Bugsy Malone The Musical

The project aims to bring together young people from across the Fylde Coast to create the jazziest and most exciting production of Bugsy Malone that Blackpool has ever seen.

As well as the chance of developing new skills in theatre making and performance, the friendships, experiences and memories that are formed during projects like these are wonderful, unique and can last a lifetime.

There is no prior experience in performance required to take part in the project – our creative team love to work with young people during the process to coach, support and bring out the best in them.
