Choose the upliftingly powerful production of Hanif Kureishi’s My Beautiful Laundrette which storms into Blackpool Grand Theatre from Tuesday 2 to Saturday 6 April featuring the original lead actor Gordon Warnecke from the iconic Oscar-nominated film. This bold new staging explores cultural conflict, gender equality, class and generational strife, all presented against a funky backdrop of 80s music and culture, with additional original music composed by the Pet Shop Boys’ Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe. My Beautiful Laundrette tells the captivating story of young British Pakistani, Omar, who transforms his Uncle’s run-down laundrette into a thriving business. After being confronted by a fascist gang, Omar recognises former school friend Johnny and uses their history to diffuse the dangerous situation. As they renovate the laundrette together, love blossoms between them.

Join the jury for Reginald Rose’s gripping courtroom thriller Twelve Angry Men from Monday 29 April to Saturday 4 May starring Jason Merrells (Casualty, Emmerdale), Tristan Gemmill (Coronation Street, Casualty), Michael Greco (EastEnders, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes), Ben Nealon (Soldier Soldier, Doctors), Gary Webster (Minder, Family Affairs) and Gray O’Brien (Coronation Street, Peak Practice). An all-male jury has murder on their minds and a life in their hands as they decide the fate of a young delinquent accused of killing his father. But what appears to be an open and shut case soon becomes a huge dilemma, as prejudices and preconceived ideas about the accused, the trial, and each other turn the tables every which way, until the nail-biting climax…

Meet Onjali Q. Raúf’s award-winning The Boy at The Back of The Class telling the heartwarming tale of the power of friendship and kindness from Tuesday 7 to Saturday 11 May. Told from a child’s perspective, this captivating story perfectly balances humour and compassion and reminds us that everyone needs a place to call home. After learning that he has fled his own war-torn country, Ahmet’s classmates have a magnificent plan to reunite Ahmet with his family. An unexpected and often hilarious adventure follows, all topped off with a terrific twist. ‘There used to be an empty chair at the back of the class, but now a new boy called Ahmet is sitting in it. He’s nine years old (just like me), but he’s very strange. He never talks and never smiles and doesn’t like sweets – not even lemon sherbets, which are my favourite!’

Dive into the delightfully outrageous musical parody Unfortunate: The Untold Story of Ursula the Sea Witch starring Shawna Hamic (Orange is the New Black, 1776 on Broadway) as ‘Ursula’ and River Medway (RuPaul’s Drag Race UK) as ‘Ariel’ from Tuesday to Saturday 25 May. Wave goodbye to everything you thought you knew about Disney’s favourite Diva… Ursula the Sea Witch is back and she’s bigger, bolder and sexier than ever before and more than ready to give her take on what really happened all those years ago under the sea. This critically acclaimed musical sweeps into Blackpool fresh from sensational sell-out runs and rave reviews. Cruella told her side, and Maleficent had her moment. Now the legendary queer queen is ready to spill all in a titillating tale of sex, sorcery and suckers that’s bursting with an original hot pop soundtrack and trademark filthy humour. Don’t be the poor unfortunate soul that missed out. Take the plunge and book now!

Get ready to roll the dice for the brand-new comedy crime caper CLUEDO 2 – The Next Chapter slipping in from Tuesday 15 to Saturday 19 October. This rollocking spoof of a whodunit stars the reigning Strictly Come Dancing champion and Coronation Street star Ellie Leach making her sizzling stage acting debut as Miss Scarlett and famous Casualty face Jason Durr as Colonel Mustard. Cluedo 2 is based on the classic Hasbro board game and will keep you guessing right up to the final twist! Set in the swinging 1960s, we meet a host of new suspects, a new house, and lot of new bodies, in this all-new tale of murder, mystery and secret passageways. As the bodies pile up, the infamous colourful characters uncover each other’s mysteries and secrets, as they dart from room to room trying to escape the killer and survive the night. You’ll laugh ‘til they die! Book your seats now!
