Hilarious TV Comedians at Blackpool’s Laugh out Loud Comedy Club

Blackpool Grand Theatre, TheSTUDIO

Friday 1 September 2017 8pm

Starring:

Rob Rouse

Lloyd Griffith

Elliot Steel

Damion Larkin (MC)

The mighty Rob Rouse is one of comedy’s most lively, loveable and dynamic performers. He’s one of our best comic storytellers, has performed all over the world and works long form narratives into hard-hitting, uncompromising hilarious tales filled with warmth and a sense of compassion for our collective human frailties.

The Ex-Geography teacher has been described critically as “A born clown”, those who really know him may lovingly use the word ‘idiot’. Either way, Rob takes this trademark comedic storytelling to a career high in this show, as he leads us on an irresistibly hilarious journey of enforced introspection and inspired rantings, it’s a real roller-coaster of a show in which he is forced to relinquish any attempts to control his life and to face down literally one of the most awkward situations you’re ever likely to hear about.

You may also recognise him from ‘8 Out Of 10 Cats’, ‘Spoons’, ‘The Friday Night Project’, ‘Celebrity Juice’, ‘Dave’s One Night Stand’, ‘John Bishop’s Only Joking’, ‘Live at the Comedy Store’, maybe collecting one of his wife’s eBay purchases from your garage or perhaps seen him at one of his 8 Edinburgh fringe shows or 3 UK tours.

This is a rare chance to see an outstandingly gifted comedian outside of his national tour. His much in demand and hyperactive brand of humour is simply not to be missed. So, come and see him do what he does best; honest, frank, seriously funny stand-up.

“Immensely talented… demands to be seen… star of the future” Sunday Times

“Excellent” BBC

“He’s a man with genuinely funny bones” The Sunday Times

“Rob Rouse is a born clown, a latter-day Stan Laurel” Time Out

Lloyd Griffith is a comedian, a choirboy and an aspiring goalkeeper. He’s the face of BBC3’s Taxi to Training (have a watch) and has been seen on Drunk History (Comedy Central), Soccer AM (Sky 1), In Off The Bar (Sky Sports), Rugby’s Funniest Moments (Sky), The Premier League Show (BBC2) and Sweat The Small Stuff (BBC3).

He’s just completed supporting Jack Whitehall and Rob Beckett on their respective sold out UK tours including dates at Liverpool Echo, Newcastle Metro, Manchester, Leeds and Wembley Arenas and Hammersmith Apollo.

You may have also heard Lloyd guesting on BBC 5Live’s Fighting Talk, Rob Beckett’s Rock & Roll Football Show (Absolute Radio), The Warm Up with Jon Richardson & Matt Forde (TalkSport) or even co-commentating on Grimsby Town FC games for BBC Radio Humberside.

“The next big thing!” FHM

“Inherently funny…very neat lines in his comic repertoire” Chortle

“Griffith in particular was absolutely outstanding” BroadWay Baby

Elliot Steel is definitely best described as a unique child prodigy following impressive performances and wowing audiences at The Latitude, V and Reading festivals in 2013 at a mere 19 years old. He is the new must-see comic name to watch out for.

Elliot regales confidence and a stage presence behind his years and his hilarious and honest routines are gritty real-life tales of growing up on a South London council estate – all delivered in his refreshingly individual style.

“One to watch” The Independent

Plus your MC is Damion Larkin, one of Britain’s most promising comedy talents, renowned for being a spontaneous and lovable host.

“One of the country’s top new comedians” BBC

All line ups are subject to change, but don’t worry, we’ll only replace them with someone just as funny!
