It’s almost #GRANDPanto time! There’s now less than a few hours left to book tickets to our Opening Night performance of Aladdin here at The Blackpool Grand Theatre!

Mark Moraghan is a star of stage and screen, versed as both an actor and a singer.  In our latest Q&A, Mark tells us his favourites vegetable, his special talents and the one thing he just can’t live without!

 

If you could have chosen your first name, what would you choose?

Stanley – After my Dad and it’s now very popular!

 

What three words would you use to describe yourself?

Old, Fat and Happy!

 

If you could be a jungle animal, which one would you pick and why?

A chimpanzee, they just make me smile!

 

If you could visit yourself when you were 18, what one piece of advice would you now give yourself?

Even you can’t, always look as if you can! My dad said it!

 

What’s your favourtie fruit and vegetable?

I love tangerines at Chtristmas – Mashed carrot and turnips!

 

How do you spend Christmas Day?

With the family at home.

 

Do you have a special skill or talent that no-one knows about?

I used to box when I was a young lad.

 

Where in the world have you not been but really want to go to, and why?

Austrailia, as I have lots of family there.
What’s been your favourite acting role, and why?

A film called Allies, set around D-Day 1944. I got to run around like Action Man!

 

What’s your favourite film of all time?

A Matter of Life and Death, or Jaws

 

If you were stuck on an island and could have three people with you, who would they be?

My wife and kids

 

What is the one thing you couldn’t live without?

My music

 

Finally, if you had three wishes, what would they be?

  1. To end poverty.
  2. Stop the slaughter of wild animals.
  3. WORLD DOMINATION!
